THE PROJECT’S KEY ACTIVITIES?

  • Development of a capacity building program for e-learning in the tourism sector in the target cross-border region
  • Development of e-learning modules and content to improve knowledge and practical skills  in the field of tourism
  • Development of libraries of “E-food” and “E-drinks” with information on local SMEs that offer typical food, meals and a typical environment
  • Training “Good practices of sustainable tourism management” for managers and administrators
  • Training “Traditional dishes and drinks from the common cross-border region”
  • The final cross-border event for the exchange of experiences and best practices in the field of e-learning

Project “Capacity building for e-learning in the tourism sector in the cross-border region” is devoted to managers and professionals in the regions of Nis, Serbia, and Kyustendil, Bulgaria, who want to improve their knowledge and skills, and make a difference in their communities.

The overall objective of the joint project is aimed at fostering the learning culture enhancement in the CB region through the establishment and implementation of joint measures, activities and mechanisms in support of human resource development in the field of tourism. The achievement of these goals will be attained through the implementation of various actions such as capacity building of human resources, enhancing cooperation and promoting innovation and ICT as the new mean for e-learning in the field of tourism.

  1. Development of an E-learning capacity building Programme in Tourist Sector at the Target Cross-Border Region
  2. Development of a Tourism E-learning modules and content for enhancing knowledge and practical skills of HR in the field of tourism
  3. Design and development of a platform for Tourism E-learning
  4. E-Cooking Library part of “Tourism E-learning” platform
  5. “Beverages E- Library” part of “Tourism E-learning” platform
  6.  Demonstration of the Tourism e-learning platform
  7. Joint HR Training “Good practices in sustainable tourism management”
  8. Joint HR Training „Traditional meals and beverages of the common cross-border region”
  9. Final cross-border event for sharing experience and best practices

Main outputs:

  1. Developed E-learning capacity building Programme in Tourist Sector at the Target Cross-Border Region;
  2. Developed of a platform for Tourism E-learning with 3 main section – E-learning modules and content, E-Cooking library; Beverages E-library;
  3. Organized 2 demonstration days;
  4. Organized 2 Joint HR trainings;
  5. Realized 1 Final cross-border event for sharing experience and best practices
  1. SMEs working in or related to the tourism industry in the target cross-border region (hotels and restaurant owners, private accommodations, fast-food providers, pastries, bakeries, food producers including farmers, etc);
  2. Tourist agencies working the target cross-border region;
  3. Business Support organizations, NGOs, branch associations and other organizations that are conducting their activities in relation to the tourism industry development;
  4. Educational institutions of the border region such as universities, technical high schools (with tourism profile), training and vocational training organizations.
